The first phase of the machine park is completed
Delva Oy has completed the first phase of its machine park. The latest investment, middle size metal printer EOS M290, increases the capacity considerably and enables even more flexible service for customers. In April this year, Delva introduced its EOS M270 installation.
CTO Markku Lindqvist emphasizes the importance of using two industry level printers: “Our strength is deep material knowledge. In addition to the most commonly used materials in metal printing in Finland, aluminum and stainless steel, we print e.g. Inconel and titanium. We also support our customers to make the most out of these materials. A right material selection increases the benefits of additive manufacturing considerably. Changing from one material to another in a printing machine takes time and increases costs. With two printers we will be able to serve our customers with a large range of materials, yet with very competitive delivery times.”
Additive manufacturing brings customer solutions to the new level
Metal additive manufacturing gets more and more attention also in Finland. There are already plenty of success stories existing and understanding that additive manufacturing is not only for prototyping but also suitable for serial production has increased. “Components with channels, cell structures or just other forms that are hard or impossible to manufacture with traditional methods, underline the advantages of additive manufacturing. AM takes our industry with its solutions to the new level”, says CEO Jarmo Kastell, Delva Oy.
Delva is a partner
In addition to the printing services Delva offers training, consultation and engineering, post-processing as well as quality testing and documentation, according to the customer needs. The profound material and heat treatment knowledge Delva offers ensures that the components are suitable for very demanding industrial applications.
